Our tour to Kazbegi will start at 09:00 AM in Tbilisi. Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. We will travel along the Georgian Military Road towards the Russian border. This ancient and vital transportation route has connected Russia with the countries of the South Caucasus for centuries. On the way, we will visit the architectural complex of Ananuri – the former residence of the Aragvi princes. The churches and medieval towers of Ananuri majestically rise above the Zhinvali Reservoir, embraced by the slopes of the Caucasus Mountains.
We will continue our journey with a stop at the confluence of two mountain rivers near the village of Pasanauri. The uniqueness of this place lies in the fact that each river has its own color, and as they merge, the waters of the two rivers flow parallel to each other for a long time before mixing.
Our path will take us over the Cross Pass, with a stop at the panoramic viewpoint of the Soviet-era "Friendship of Peoples," offering a picturesque view of the deep gorge of the Caucasus Ridge.
We will arrive in Kazbegi and ascend to the Gergeti Trinity Church, located at an altitude of 2170 meters above sea level. On a clear day, you can enjoy a mesmerizing view of the famous Mount Kazbek. We will return to Tbilisi via the Georgian Military Road.
